District 4 is in the eastern part of Mecklenburg County. Incumbent Stephanie Sneed is running for reelection.

CMS high schools in this district are Central Piedmont Early College, East Meck, Hawthorne Academy, Independence, Military & Global Leadership at Hawthorne and Rocky River.
