Description:

Morrow's top issues include affordable housing, better transportation and crime and public safety. She states that affordable housing has been the “number one concern on community surveys since 2018,” pledges to “find the money and missing links” to make housing workable for residents, supports a “safe, reliable, and effective public transit system” with “compassionate security measures” and emphasizes addressing crime by investing in youth programming and preventative measures rather than punishment and imprisonment.

Her website shows her being arrested in November 2025 by Border Patrol agents. In a press release, the U.S. Attorney in Charlotte said Morrow was charged with felony assault and forcibly resisting or impeding a federal officer in an incident at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in which she “forcibly made physical contact with [an officer], including grabbing the officer’s shoulders and attempting to jump  on the officer’s back.” Morrow said on her website that she was “trying to get in between [officers’] bear mace and a younger bystander.” Morrow received a bachelor’s degree from UNC Wilmington and a master’s degree from UNC Charlotte.
