Gaston County Board of Education Gastonia Township (Democratic Primary)

The Election Hub has partnered with the Gaston Business Association to bring voters information about Gaston County candidates. 

Board of Education members make decisions affecting the 30,000 students across the district, including budget priorities, curriculum guidelines, facility improvements and superintendent oversight. It is a nine-member board that has seven representatives chosen from the six townships and two members selected at-large. The Gastonia Township representative specifically advocates for schools and students within that township while voting on district-wide policies.

Five of the board seats will be on the general election ballot in 2026, but only this race has a primary.
