N.C. Superior Court 26F Seat 1

Judicial candidate research was completed with help from the Wake Forest School of Law Pro Bono Project.

Superior courts hear civil cases involving more than $25,000 and all felony cases.  Superior courts also hear misdemeanor and infraction appeals from the district court.  There are eight superior court judges in Mecklenburg County, each serving eight- year terms. Three of the seats are up for election in 2026, and all are unopposed. Voters only vote on one superior court district based on where they are registered. District 26F is in the central part of the county.

Judge Karen Eady-Williams has served in the role since 2018 and is running unopposed.
