Littlejohn describes herself as a "proven leader" who has "transformed lives." She is running because she believes Gastonia "has a lot more growing to do." The infrastructure needs in her district she says are particularly large. Her top issues are public safety, affordable housing and youth programming. She describes herself as "definitely pro-blue."
