Addison McDowell

McDowell's top priorities are border security, defending the 2nd Amendment, “banning abortion” and "stand[ing] with crypto.” He says he also wants to "ease the burden of child-bearing for women and families," prevent "burdensome government regulation and opposing efforts to create central bank digital currencies" and "oppose all attempts to federalize elections.” McDowell stated that the loss of his younger brother to a fentanyl overdose motivated him to run for Congress. He has sponsored legislation that aims "to provide research on, and services for, individuals with clinical mental health complications following a pregnancy loss" and "to require the imposition of visa sanctions with respect to each foreign person the President determines has performed or otherwise facilitated chemical or surgical mutilations of United States minors." He currently serves on the Transportation and Infrastructure, the Natural Resources and the Budget Committees.
