As of late July 2026, Brown's website hasn't been updated since his unsuccessful run for Secretary of State in 2024. When he was running for that role, he said he was running "to fight for the common person to help give them some direction through a cumbersome government." He previously served as mayor of Stanley before being elected to the Gaston County Board of Commissioners. He says, "I rely on my Christian values to help guide the way I vote." He wants to make sure people know that Gaston County is "open for business."
