Description:
Salvador’s top issues are quality of life, transportation and infrastructure, energy and the environment. She says she wants to make "intelligent investments in North Carolina's existing infrastructure" and believes the state can be "a leader" in energy and the environment. In the most recent legislative session, she sponsored bills to study lipedema and to reduce racial disparities in maternal health outcomes, termed a "momnibus" act. She has worked in the data privacy and energy industries. She was present for 491 of 701 votes in the 2025-26 legislative session, placing her in the bottom fifth of senators.

Salvador is a fifth-generation Charlottean. She is married with two children. She was the youngest female state senator when elected in 2020 and sits on the board of the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation, a large nonprofit focused on education and democracy in North Carolina. She recently filed a lawsuit against Whirlpool for using AI to create a deepfake video from her Ted Talk. Salvador holds a bachelor’s from UNC Charlotte and an MBA from MIT.
