Description:
Davis is seeking his third term in Congress. The top issues he lists on his website are lowering the cost of living, delivering jobs and economic growth and improving rural infrastructure. Davis mentions that North Carolinians feel squeezed because of the current economic situation: health care, gas prices and housing are not affordable anymore. The Lugar Center ranks Davis as one of the most bipartisan members of Congress in its Bipartisan Index. Davis often sides with Republicans on issues such as border security and transgender youth rights. He recently did not vote in a controversial amendment to rescind military support for Israel (the measure failed with bipartisan votes).
