Fleet has been a judge for three years and has presided over civil, criminal and domestic violence courts. She is the lead judge for the county's Civil Division. She says she has helped reduce backlogs and that she "starts court on time and strives to use resources efficiently." She was in private practice before becoming a judge.

Fleet started her career in Florida and became licensed to practice law in North Carolina in 2014. She grew up reading her dad's law books. He was also a judge. Fleet has four sons and is a proud dog mom. She received a B.S. in psychology from Nova Southeastern University, studied Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution at UNC Greensboro and has a JD from Charlotte School of Law.
