Mujtaba A. Mohammed

Mohammed is seeking his fifth term, and this is the third consecutive time he has been unopposed. Mohammed is a children's rights advocate and a former assistant public defender in Mecklenburg County. He was the first primary sponsor of 28 bills in the most recent legislative session, including proposals to provide two free meals a day to public school students, expand a greenway in Davidson and allocate $5 million in state funds to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Library.
