Description:

Keigher is seeking his eighth term on the Board of Commissioners and has served as chair for three of those terms. During his tenure, he has supported responsible fiscal policy, economic development, public safety and quality county services through the board's established priorities. He has also held leadership roles with the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners, including serving on its board of directors and executive board.

Keigher lives in Gastonia with his wife, Donna. They have four adult children and three grandchildren. He previously taught in Gaston County Schools, served as executive director of the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Clubs of Gaston and Lincoln Counties and currently operates a Medicare insurance practice. He attended high school in New Jersey and earned a bachelor’s degree from Belmont Abbey College.
