N.C. District Court District 38 Seat 1

District courts hear civil cases that involve divorce, child custody, child support and cases involving less than $25,000. They also hear criminal cases that are misdemeanor and infraction cases.

District 38 serves Gaston County. There are seven district court judges in Gaston County, each serving four-year terms. All are Republicans. Two are up for election in 2026, and both are uncontested.
