N.C. Superior Court Judge District 26C Seat 1 (Democratic Primary)

Superior courts hear civil cases involving more than $25,000 and all felony cases. Superior courts also hear misdemeanor and infraction appeals from the district court. There are eight superior court judges in Mecklenburg County, each serving eight year terms. Three of the seats are up for election in 2026. Only this race has a primary.  Voters who live within a superior court’s jurisdiction elect that court’s judge. District 26C is in the northern part of Mecklenburg County (map here).

The winner of this race will face no opposition in November’s general election.
