Bill Baggs

Baggs won a competitive primary, during which he faced a petition to be removed from office. That petition was thrown out, and he is unopposed in the general election. Baggs says voters should pick him because “my experience ensures the office is managed efficiently, transparently and in accordance with the law.” He also says he led the clerk’s office through the transition to eCourts. In an interview with The Cabarrus Compass, Baggs states his top priority is "continuing to improve technology now that all 100 counties are live on eCourts, expanding efficiencies, supporting staff development and ensuring our office continues to meet the growing needs of Cabarrus County."
