Kristina Cook

Cook wanted to be on the board because she thought it was important to have a “mom’s voice.” In her time time on the board, it has hired two superintendents.  She told The Cabarrus Compass in a candidate questionnaire that she is “not an ‘everyone needs a degree’ kind of person” and that she supports certificates and trade schools.  She says if there is one immediate change she would make for the district, it would be to ensure there is a certified teacher in every classroom.
