The Election Hub Questionnaire

Please provide demographic information about yourself to help voters (age, education, current occupation, where you live).

I'm 41 year old CEO that lives in Cornelius with my wife Elle.

Why are you running for this role and why should voters pick you?  Please share any experience in an elected role that would be relevant to voters.

I’m running for mayor because I believe Cornelius is at its best when we bring people together to solve challenges. With over 20 years of leadership experience, I’ve built organizations, led teams, and worked to unite diverse groups around shared goals. While I haven’t held elected office before, I bring fresh perspective, proven leadership, and deep commitment to listening and serving. The residents of Cornelius can count on me to prioritize community, transportation, and culture so Cornelius continues to thrive as a safe, vibrant, and connected town.

Tell us about 2-3 professional accomplishments you have achieved in your work experience (not limited to public service) that give voters a sense of your leadership style or skills.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve built and led a company that serves thousands of organizations across the country, giving me experience in strategy, budgeting, and long term growth. I’ve also led large teams of volunteers as a ministry leader, developing a leadership style centered on collaboration, accountability, and innovation.

What is one thing you would like to accomplish in the first six months if elected?

In my first six months as mayor, I want to bring our community together around a shared vision for Cornelius. That means holding listening sessions with residents, small businesses, and community groups to hear priorities directly. I also want to make immediate progress on transportation, working with town staff and regional partners to identify quick wins for easing traffic and improving safety. By starting with listening and action, we can set the tone for a culture of collaboration, transparency, and results that reflects the values of Cornelius.

What is your position on the proposed transit tax and why? Will you vote in favor of it or against it in November?

I support the transit tax as a necessary step to give Cornelius and the region the resources to address our growing traffic, expand mobility options, and improve road safety. But support must be paired with accountability. I will push for transparency in how funds are allocated, ensure Cornelius receives its fair share, and hold the transit authority and county partners to their commitments.

What endorsements from any notable NC organizations or individuals have you received?

(The candidate did not respond.)

Tell us something unexpected about you that voters may be interested to know.

Something unexpected about me is that I spent nine years as a pastor in Buffalo, NY. That experience shaped my leadership style, listening first, bringing people together across differences, and serving with compassion. It taught me the importance of building strong relationships and fostering community, values I’ll carry into my service as mayor.
