Description:

Threatt believes that principled leadership is crucial to any organization, and wants to preserve the “Carolina Values” of faith, family, fidelity, and freedom. He also hopes to increase financial stewardship, smart and managed growth, and public safety. The Charlotte Observer wrote that Threatt had authored controversial blog posts calling abortion genocide and attributing natural disasters to religious punishment; Threatt has since removed those posts from his blog. He was also a vocal proponent of HB2 (the “bathroom bill”) many years ago.

Threatt has a bachelor’s degree from the International Bible Seminary and a master’s degree and doctorate from the Master's School of Divinity, an online theology degree program. He and his wife co-authored The Master's Plan for Marriage: A Biblical Guide for Successful Marriage. He is a grandfather and a registered Republican. He is also endorsed by MeckGOP
